Elmet Lions Club President Maggie Hartley was delighted to be asked to go and talk to the young people at the STAR Mat student conference, I was there to raise awareness of Elmet Lions and launch the Young Leaders in Service Award – helping to raise aspirations and encourage volunteering.

You’ll remember Ada – the young lady who rode the 45 miles in the Great Selby Bike Ride? Elmet Lions wanted to celebrate this through Lions District 105 North and she now has her certificate for Lions Young Leader in Service Bronze Award for 31 hours of service. Here’s her certificate and pin. They are in the post to her tomorrow ….First class!
